Single trip fares and PRESTO fares for youth and adults will go up on Thursday, Jan. 1, 2026.

What’s changing

• Adult PRESTO fare will go up by $0.10 cents to $2.85
• Youth PRESTO fare will go up by $0.10 cents to $2
• Cash and contactless debit and credit card tap will go up by $0.25 cents to $3.75

What isn’t changing

• Children and seniors ride free
• Youth ride free after 6 p.m. on weekdays and all hours on weekends

PRESTO Loyalty Program

• Adults ride free after 40 paid rides in a calendar month so the maximum monthly cost is $114
• Youth ride for free after 20 paid rides in a calendar month so the maximum monthly cost is $40 (pilot until June 2026)

After you reach your monthly loyalty count, all other paid trips are free in the same calendar month.

Free rides, such as youth evenings/weekends do not count towards PRESTO monthly loyalty.

One Fare Program

Ride Burlington Transit for free when you combine your trip with GO Transit. Use a PRESTO card or PRESTO contactless and you will automatically get the free fare on Burlington Transit. Your TTC fare is also free after riding Burlington Transit and GO Transit.
